GLA:D® Australia for hip and knee osteoarthritis
GLA:D® is an education and exercise program for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis, developed from research at the University of Southern Denmark and delivered in Australia by certified clinicians. Motus is GLA:D® certified and the program is coming soon. Join the waitlist and we will let you know as soon as the first program opens.
What the GLA:D® program involves
The program pairs education with supervised neuromuscular exercise. The education explains what osteoarthritis actually is, what the evidence says about the treatment options, and how to manage the condition day to day. The exercise component trains the control and strength around the joint rather than only muscle bulk.
It suits people with hip or knee osteoarthritis at any stage — including those considering a joint replacement, and those who would prefer to manage their condition without surgery. You do not need to be fit to start, and you do not need a referral.
GLA:D® is coming soon to Motus Integrated Health. The program is typically delivered twice a week over approximately six weeks, combining structured education with supervised exercise sessions.
