About Motus

Motus Integrated Health is a mobile Exercise Physiology service based in Kensington, providing high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation throughout the Perth metropolitan area.

There is no clinic to travel to. We bring the assessment, the equipment and the program to your home, your local gym or wherever you already move, creating an individualised program that works within your environment, available equipment and everyday routine.

The goal of Motus is a premium yet approachable service that empowers people to move with confidence, reduce pain, improve function and regain independence through exercise. We want our clients to feel supported, educated and confident managing their health long after they leave a session.

We believe exercise is one of the most powerful tools we have to improve quality of life, and our aim is to help people return to the activities that matter most to them.

  • One-to-one sessions in your home, local gym or community setting
  • Evidence-based programs, explained in plain language
  • Goals set around the activities that matter most to you
  • Education and a plan you can keep using independently

James Pirie

Founder & Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Over the past seven years, I've worked across the health and fitness industry as a Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Coach and Accredited Exercise Physiologist. These experiences have allowed me to work with a wide variety of individuals — from athletes looking to optimise performance, to people recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions and improving their independence through exercise.

Ultimately, I want every client to feel listened to, supported and confident that we're working together towards goals that genuinely matter to them.

Qualifications

Specialty Areas of Clinical Interest

We are particularly passionate about supporting clients with the following concerns:

James working through a client's knee range of motion as she lies on a gym floor

Hip, knee & lower back

Targeted strength and movement programs for the joints and regions that most often limit day-to-day life.

James measuring around a client's knee with a tape during a rehabilitation assessment

Pre- & post-operative rehab

Preparing well before musculoskeletal surgery, then rebuilding capacity safely and progressively afterwards.

James and a client working through slow glute bridges together on a gym floor

Acute & persistent pain

Practical, paced strategies for pain that has lasted days or years, and the confidence to keep moving through it.

We come to you, right across the Perth metro

We are based in Kensington, but there is no clinic to travel to. We work on the move rather than from a consulting room, so sessions happen at your home, your local gym, or wherever you are most comfortable moving.

That matters most for the people who find getting to a clinic hardest: after surgery, during a pain flare, or when driving is not an option.

How it works

Three steps from first contact to a program you can keep using.

Get in touch

Book online through Cliniko, or call 0417 523 330 if you would rather talk it through first. We'll confirm whether a funding pathway applies to you.

Initial assessment

A thorough one-to-one assessment at your home or preferred location, combining your medical history, goals and current symptoms with objective measures of movement, strength and function. Together, we then determine the most appropriate treatment plan moving forward.

Your program

An individualised program delivered with hands-on guidance, coaching and ongoing progression. Exercises are adapted as your strength, confidence and symptoms change, so your program continues to match your needs and goals.
